Control Nodes
NES Control Nodes provide the aggregation, connectivity and network management infrastructure between meters and NES System Software. They can be installed at any convenient location on the secondary side of a distribution transformer, and can securely communicate with and supervise a set of meters. The NES Control Node (data concentrator) platform powers more grid sensors and smart meters than any other data concentrator platform in the world, collecting flexible data sets for Smart Grid applications.
Control Point Modules
NES Control Point Modules provide the capacity to transform various devices connected to the grid, including basic electric meters, into smart, communicating devices and meters that interoperate with the Networked Energy Services (NES) system via the Open Smart Grid Protocol (OSGP). The NES System is a highly scalable and adaptable smart grid system that includes a network of intelligent energy management devices, and Control Nodes support these networks by collecting data from the various electricity grid devices and meters.
